OUR METHODS OF SEARCH AND SELECTION
At Morgan Corporate we know that identifying a good candidate does not automatically means recruiting a good candidate. The candidate has to be checked against – technical skills, soft skills and fitting with the company culture to establish if it’s a good candidate. Too often we have seen really talented candidates fail for a CV not well written, without a Cover Letter, or because it’s LinkedIn profile is not good enough, or just because the answer to an interview question is not really pertinent to the interviewer’s demands.

For these reasons, we offer additional services for our candidates such as Professional CV, Cover Letter and LinkedIn profile writing service, social scrub, and coaching service.

Why the Cover Letter has high importance in Job-hunting?

The Cover Letter is the first contact you have with a prospective employer. The purpose of it is to introduce yourself to an organization, demonstrate your interest in the company or a specific vacancy, attract attention to your resume and motivate the employer to interview you.

Depends on the vacancy, but at least a General Cover Letter should be enclosed in the CV. Lots of times, a generic cover letter is not sufficing, and you should accompany your CV have a very specific Cover Letter which allows you to target the job and the employer in a very specific way, leaving your CV to highlight your skills, experience, academy and certifications as a part of the bigger picture. In this way, your CV needs less amending with each application because is the Cover Letter, which must be different each time.

Almost 100% of Recruiters use LinkedIn to search for candidates. It usually is the first website seen by recruiters researching applicants beyond consideration of their CVs. The technology, of course, plays a huge role in the recruitment process, so to be successful requires a modern approach to self-promotion and a strong online presence. Building a good LinkedIn profile requires some initial thought and time, but once it has been perfected it works around the clock for you with relatively little maintenance. In today’s recruitment process, a LinkedIn profile is a prerequisite, and without one, you are practically invisible to a recruiter.

LinkedIn is different from a CV but just as important.
Our LinkedIn profile writing service includes: Research and provides search engine optimised keywords so that recruiting managers can easily find you

  • Writing your profile in the first-person narrative
  • Writing a profile showing your professional personality, skills and strengths
  • Providing an appealing summary capturing your essence in terms of who you are, what you are doing and what you want from your career
  • Eliminating spelling and grammar mistakes from your existing profile
  • Adding calls to action so that you get noticed and contacted

We will provide you with document file containing the various sections of a LinkedIn Profile that can easily be copied and pasted into a live profile. We do not ask for your login credentials as a security measure. If you need to create a new profile and you don’t know how to do it, we can use a Skype call to communicate and train you on how to create it.

Social Scrub
Nowadays recruiters very often look at your social profiles and online presence in addition to your LinkedIn’s. The moment you send your CV and they are interested, they look at your Facebook account, at Twitter and Google+ and other ones. They usually past your email address and name search engines and everything you have ever posted on the social platforms will be right in front of them. It would be a pity if you lost the job because of that picture you took during your holidays where you were drunk or that controversial post you made on a Facebook wall years ago.

How many times you heard: “Well, I’ll just go the interview and be myself.” Which is fine, but it won’t get you the job!

Getting a new job is hard work and for many people, the interview stage is really the most overwhelming part of the job hunting process. Usually, the fear associated with job interviews performance originates from a lack of preparation. Doing the groundwork prior to your interview puts you in a more positive frame of mind and ready for any strange question, hard question or “a curve ball” that might be thrown at you during the interview.

The groundwork usually includes:

  • Body language
  • Physical appearance
  • Company knowledge
  • Role vacant
  • Knowledge of your CV

Once we have in our hands the relevant job specification, we can help you identify your key skills, your achievements and tweak them to highlight your fittingness to the role on offer. We can also try to build a profile of how your upcoming interview might be, structured and prepare some answers to typical questions, particularly those that are competency based.

We often do a mock interview which could be the best option, whilst on other occasions, an open discussion might be more appropriate. We can usually suggest how the session should be structured once we get to know a little about your needs, so get in contact with us to get started.

Coaching sessions
Our coaching sessions go from a 30-minute interview coaching (appropriate for those in the need of a quick refresher) to 120 for those that need the time to properly prepare for the job.
